Rousey Gone Rogue

When Wrestlemania season comes about we expect main events on the same calibre as Hulk Hogan versus Andre The Giant, The Rock taking on John Cena, Brock Lesnar battling The Undertaker. The natural trend being male dominated. However, this year’s landmark event aims to make history by having the first ever women’s main event match as Ronda Rousey defends her WWE RAW Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair and fan-favourite Becky Lynch. Despite this, the WWE management team may want to think twice about letting these three competitors within combative distance of each other after last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, which resulted in Ronda’s piercing, grey eyes gaping onto what was left of Becky Lynch after an unadulterated demolition. Beaten down with her own crutch, Lynch was left motionless on the floor, arm dislodged, and thick red blood splattered on her chest from her cavernous busted lip.

UFC Women’s Champion turned RAW Women’s Champion. Undefeated in singles action. A persona based on the late, great, Hall of Famer ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper. WWE management has been kind to newcomer Ronda Rousey, but it seems the fans will not replicate this gesture as boos bounced from wall to ceiling of the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh. Rousey’s beamed grim which lights up the building is seemingly a dead notion, as the ‘Baddest Woman on the Planet’ patrolled down the entrance ramp on a mission to, once again, distance herself from the WWE Universe and dismantle Lynch of her consciousness. The eventual deafening ringing of ‘overrated’ coming from the fans in Pittsburgh reiterated her fresh-faced status in the industry. Rousey’s clenched fist and deep stare through her frowned brows told more of a story than any words could.

A smile the WWE Universe have not been familiar with as of recently.

As if a caged, prodded Lion was let free, Ronda let her sheer physicality fly as the roaring crowd witnessed Rousey manhandle Lynch like a ragdoll, nearly ripping her arm right out of its socket with the notorious arm-bar. This onscreen competitiveness has revolved into a fierce rivalry between two of the Great Whites of the women’s division, which has been made absolutely clear to the fans after their vicious twitter rivalry landed them in hot water with WWE management.

“Becky Lynch is nothing, and Charlotte Flair is just irrelevant in all this” the champion told WWE interviewer Tom Phillips after their vigorous encounter, as her scrunched lips trembled and beads of sweat dripped from her clenched jaw. “Becky’s relevance is merely based on the fact that I am here. If she wants to get real, then she’s gone the right way about it.”

Ronda proceeded to verbally demolish both of her opponents for the Wrestlemania 35 main event match, and visibly ranted on about how the WWE product is “fake” and that she’s the only “real fighter” in the women’s division in a leaked video that has gone viral. Her spit flew and head uncontrollably reddened as an invigorated Rousey viciously glanced down the lense of the recording camera, like a starving eagle eyeing its prey.

“It wasn’t a promo” Ronda claimed, referring to her interview with Tom Phillips.

“They gave me other things to say and I didn’t f*cking say it.

“I’m not going out there doing a f*cking act anymore; they can say it’s part of the act, to try and save face, but it’s not.”

She continued: “I’m going out there and I’m doing whatever the hell I want.

"Wrestling is scripted, it’s made up, it’s not real. None of those b*tches can f*cking touch me.”

Rousey, who’s performances used to thrive in the conditions of a positive crowd reaction, has evidently found a new way to fuel her execution of domination as the negative spectator reaction reeled her up like never before. Like a laughing hyena after a cunning kill, Rousey’s impassioned frown turned into a clown-like laugh – almost acting as a siren of threat to the remains of Becky Lynch.

“Becky will be lucky if she can ever use that left arm again, let alone be in the ring again” she proceeded to say in this leaked video.

“It’s a shame, she was really starting to gain momentum.

"But, what did she expect I’d do to her?” Ronda asked as her head tilted back and forth in cruel laughter, only to be halted by the forthcoming statement. “And I’ll do it all again.”

It’s Wrestlemania 35 where she can do it all again, and judging by the brutal killing we witnessed on Monday night, she certainly will.
